Golf course views and vertical gardens tempt Sydney buyer

AFTER regularly visiting the Gold Coast for holidays, Sydney-based homeowner Lisha Bai thought it was finally time to invest in a permanent holiday home

The florist and interior designer said she bought the property last year with plans to move in.

“I always intended to move in and if it doesn’t sell I think I will at the end of the year,” she said.

Mrs Bai said the stunning design and value for money also had attracted her to Hope Island.

“I couldn’t believe there were such affordable beautiful homes right on the golf course because in Sydney it is very difficult to get a house – let alone in a location you really like.

“My friend recently bought a home in Sydney for $12 million on the golf course.

“The value of the Gold Coast really attracted me and I thought, ‘why not?’.

“At first I thought I should buy an apartment on the Gold Coast but I love space and I have a number of apartments in Sydney and Melbourne.”

Mrs Bai said she had envisioned a modern style for the home and was captured by the vertical garden feature wall.

“I work in the design and floristry industry and this house spoke to both my passions,” she said. “Especially the vertical garden wall, it was a standout.

“The interior is very contemporary too, it allows for

a number of styles because it has a neutral colour palette.”

As one of 16 residences, the home is located on a private enclave overlooking the ninth hole of The Palms championship golf course.

The house has a striking facade with a timber entrance framed by manicured gardens.
