If it’s good enough for them…

When it comes to great Golf Real Estate, there’s one group of people whose purchasing decisions are worth taking note of and that’s the great golfers themselves. After all, they perennially travel the world ‘window shopping’ so if they find a place worth investing in it’s bound to be something a little bit special.

All of which brings us to Albany in the Bahamas, with its burgeoning reputation as the ‘Monaco of the Caribbean’. The luxury resort community, with its fantastic golf course, is home to Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Ian Poulter among others, while Tiger Woods and Ernie Els also count it as a workplace, being two of the investors in the project. Indeed the Tiger Woods Foundation hosted the Hero World Challenge here in 2015 and will continue with the association until 2019.

The gated community comprises 375 luxury properties and a myriad of activities and amenities. Located on New Providence Island, the hub of the Bahamas, it immediately proved its magnetism for the sport’s big names and those for whom “a holiday without a golf course nearby is not, alas, a proper holiday.”

With more than 700 islands the Bahamas has much more to offer when residents or visitors choose to venture further and golf is a key theme. One with a reputation of being the toughest to play is the Robert Trent Jones II designed Reef course on Grand Bahama Island.

And if it’s good enough for the world’s best golf architects and good enough for the world’s best golfers the Bahamas should be good enough for you.
